Amanda Brugel

Tessa Tessa Amanda AmandaPointe Claire lies in that tranquil part of Montreal's West Island. People aren't sure of what the term means as they believe that it's a separate Island west of Montreal. It is actually this part of Montreal is more than that. West Island includes the entire part of the island from Lachine until the west. Amanda Brugel is said to be from the West Island. However, her time there was brief. Brugel was raised in Courtice, outside Oshawa, Ontario. Her first ambition was to become a dancer but her growing years meant that she literally outgrew the dancers she was with. She acknowledged in a piece written by the Toronto Star that she was 6'1" tall when wearing heels. When I grew out of the male partners that I had been working with, I resigned. Some former dancers move into acting. In the case of Brugel she was urged to do so by a teacher of drama at high school. The teacher suggested that she try her hand at a character in the annual school production. It was a trial run and she eventually was chosen to play the leading role on the show Anne of Green Gables. It was the Fine Arts Talent Award at York University led her to the Theatre Program that she attended until 2000 with a bachelor of fine arts degree.
